Writing can be a lonely business, so when I moved to Guernsey six years ago I missed the face-to-face meetings and conversation with people who understood the ups and downs of a writing life. So I formed the Guernsey branch of the Society of Authors; see details on this website by clicking on the heading Guernsey Society of Authors.

Originally I formed a Writers’ Group when I lived in Rugby, Warwickshire. It’s called Rugby Cafe Writers. (on FB @RugbyCafeWriters) I’m proud that it’s still going strong and is expanding. Some of them were aspiring writers, and some were already published. It was my intention, and still is, to encourage people who long to write a book to do so, and achieve their dream. Since the group in Rugby was founded, many of them are now published authors. The group have also published several anthologies of stories and poems.
